amp is good, the sub maybe can get a better one, rms 150w only, sure magnet so small, box requirement also very large, 1.8 cu ft.  somore if u use this amp to power your sub most probly can koyak coz u will get 500W rms from the amp at 2 ohm.  look for a dvc sub around 300-500W, or a svc sub around 250W

/123  Bro Zenn, Why kenwood no good ar?

Bro mnkh27, Power Acoustik LT480/2+Diamond Audio D112 = RM1200, u selling? sgdnt it better for DVC sub to pair with a mono amp?
One 4-ohm dual voice coil sub

Advantages
Don't be confused about dual voice coil (DVC) subs — having two voice coils simply gives you more ways to hook them up. In addition to wiring flexibility, the advantages of using one dual voice coil sub are power handling (most dual voice coil subs are built for heavy-duty use) and compactness.

The right type of amp to use
This is a perfect situation for a mono sub amp. Why? Mono amps are built to provide the most power at lower impedances, typically around 2 ohms. By wiring the voice coils in parallel, we can present a 2-ohm impedance to the amp and get maximum power output. Check the diagram below for how to hook it up.

A single 4-ohm DVC sub — best when connected to a mono amp.

kenwood not known for their amps, anyway ive used them before long time ago, thank god they got stolen and the insurance replaced me with mtx, they sounded 2x better even though the kenwood amp had 2x the power.

for a dvc sub u dont necessarily need a mono amp.  as long as the amp can go down to 2ohm mono stable (if the sub is dvc 4ohm) it is ok oledi.  u just need to get one with enough power at the correct load.  probly mnkh27 has the dvc 2ohm version sub, so u can wire them in series to get a 4ohm load.  for dvc 2ohm, the load will either be 1ohm or 4ohm depending how u wire it to the amp, in series or in parallel.
