Midrange positioning

now my midrange vocal got weired characteristic. beginning of the vocal sticks to the side of the car but the extension play at the center of the car...how to tune the midrange so that it sings right in the middle??
me using macrom 4 inch midrange, vifa tweets and a/d/s midbass.......high pass tweets at 4khz 18db, band pass midrange at 400hz 12db and 4khz at 18db, band pass mids 50hz 18db and 300hz 12db.

to all sifu....plz enlighten me...

If I understand you correctlt, you need to do some time alignment.

theres a gap between 300 and 400 hz laaa..

anyway try lowering both mid hp and midbass lp to around 200-300 and see how, play with slope also might help..

and lastly u can try switching the phase around, sometimes that can give u good center image....

"300 to 400" gap???
but both also 12db slope wor.....

Actually there's 2 kinds of Macrom 4"(made by morel ones), one is a mid/bass which is the 59.10 and another is the midrange which is 58.10. ;)

Hm... curious about the midrange placing, did you use the towel to wrap up fully? It *might* be one of the midranges' backwave is cancelling out? My 2 cents.

yup...did that....still cannot...
is that the price to pay when put 4 inch on pillar
good staging but bad imaging???
it sound nice but the imaging a lil suks thats all....

anyway my tweeter can play quite low so i thought of putting the 4 inch on dash to get better staging and most important of all up front bass...
