I think the SRP for the First Ultimate (0.8m) now is around RM1k. I got it at 1/2 of the new price
The one i have is "the first", and the current available model is "the first ultimate", which VDH added another layer of shield to it, I strongly recommend this cable for mid to high level user, not for beginner as the price is too $$$$. The main ingredient inside the cable is great, there is no metal involved, yes ... not copper but some kind of carbon called "LSC". Another disadvantage is: the cable comes in termination by factory, you cannot buy bulk & DIY because you cannot do soldering on carbon. I think the longest version VDH have is 1.5m or 2m at most.
I was using Monster cable XLN-Pro b4 i get "the first", I managed to get big big improvement to the sound in terms of the characteristic, it is far more better than XLN-pro, I can say it is sweet, clear, dynamic but not harsh. You will get wider & deeper soundstage, better transparency too.
Maybe you won't believe it until you have personally using this cable in your system (run in period required). I only recommend this cable for those who are already quite satisfied with their system & looking for some bonus improvement. It is useless if you put a RM1k cable wth RM500 speakers & RM500 amp.. ;D
