One thing's to sure, the best source SQ I've heard to-date came from a VPI TNT turntable. And that is in comparison with many other high end CD players from the likes of Mark Levinson, Proceed, Krell, etc.

Errrm.. I'll hafta disagree. They sound a world apart with advantage to analogue. CDs except the highest end components from Naim, Wadia, Mark Levinson, etc have the digital grain which is known as harshness to a lot of people.
