The Steg sold off? You knew that amp also? So how was it like? Good? Or am I suppose to ask... "Are all Steg Amps good?" hehehe

Actually... I have really heard an Active's setup before... But from what i read online, it looks like it sounds more dynamic, and more detailed. Not too sure... I'm using cheapscate component sets without amps now... Have to live with what I have now cause I really only have that much to spend for now... got to save one ler... LOL... What to do... Gaji small small... Have to dream big!
:D

Anyway, my component set is only German Maestro... someone told me it's the "father" or "mother" of MB Quart discuss or somesort....
LOL...

I knew that amp and the owner as well mate....LOL...

German MAESTRO huh? Most probably you got got it from Howie I suppose. On going 'active', don't just indulge in certain setup by reading on people's comments. You have to experience it yourself to determine which setup will be suitable for you. Going active will normally cost you slightly more because of the wirings i.e speaker cables & RCAs & stuffs...why not you get yourself an decent amp and try running the Maestros as it is with their OEM passives? Get a feel of your drivers running of an powered amp first. Then you can decide if passive or active suits your ears better...

I see... thanks for the teachings Sifu!

Anyway, Is Maestro a bad stuff? Seriously, I have not heard of it before until i met Howie, which is introduced by my dad... But I saw it on the web, it really shows that the G.Maestro used to produce speakers for MB Quarts. So please tell me if Maestro is a Cap Ayam, then i'll get rid of it :P

duck_killer99 - yeah i got it from howie...

again dun hear say hear say then follow.. ask urself whether u like the speaker. Are they good enough? if yes, u like it, why wanna change even though its cap ayam adik abang or watever. Ultimately its u who is going to enjoy the speakers. Expensive doesnt mean good, good doesnt mean expensive.

Wah.. I haven't seen such an enthusiastic newbie since ages.

You've come at a good time. Recently I've seen a lot of taikors all saying quitting ICE and selling off their good stuff.
