Hi all,

I was just wondering if what I had experienced for the past few days is normal or just my imagination. I park my car at a parking space exposed to the sun almost everyday

.In the afternoon when I'm going out for lunch, I played few songs

. I noticed some difference when listening to it in the morning and at night compared to afternoon

. Sound a bit harsh and different lah... Is it because of the heat that makes a speaker produce such sound or simply my imagination

. Btw, I'm using ads 236i + phd4075. Could it be the amp? Just curious...

or issit the human state of mind? seems like our listening tends to be more soothing in the night due to reduce noise all around ....

Ada logik? That's why I need some explaination...Why?! Morning play my fav track, wah...damn syiok. Afternoon comes, play same track alamak...why sound like dat? Evening going home, sounds better again...

fatigue and heat factor I guess... listening in the middle of sunlight mana syiok, it's like listening while driving and listening while not driving same thing. Anout the material and envinronment I guess the good comps and speaks material is oledi tested to withstand the temperature & huidity up to certain extend

Same experience with you. I have 2 setting in my HU. 1 for the morning. 1 for afternoon and evening. At night normally dont drive, so never set

I thought only tube amp got such setback ? Solid state also the same ?

Other reasons I pluck out of the air to justify (read:"bluff you"

) are :

1. Speed of sound is measured at 20 degree C. If you car parked under the sun, it could go up to 50-70 degree C. So, the setting you made during night would run a bit
2. Wire also the same for the above theory. So the SQ would be different also
3. Your ear drum sensitivity will change with heat
4. Speaker surround is normally made of rubber. With >50 degree heat, it would perform differently also
5. You would normally full blast your aircond during afternoon. So the SQ will be affected too

The ambience noise level is higher in the afternoon.

Sometimes i noticed the same also. Could it caused by this? :-

I have 2 voltmeters. One is aftermarket type i place it near the dashboard and another one is built -in my P80 hu. Every time i start my car in the morning or in the evening (whenever the engine is cold as is you start the car in the morning), the aftermarket voltmeter shows 14.6-7v while the built-in meter shows 14.4v (This is at idling engine speed and the aftermarket voltmeter always read higher than the built-in meter by 0.2-0.3v). After a few kms drive, the volt reading normally is at 13.9-14.2v.

Could all the equipment like HU and amps gets the highest volt at that point of time and perform better?

I just set time zone... morning- Rock & R&B, affternoon- Jazz, Keroncong, slow song, night- Rock, R&B, Pop & etc laa

mostly happen to everybody.. could be our blood temp, blood pumping to our head & etc

mayb atmosphere also... when the surrounding is cold then the air will be more dence then the sound wave will be harder to "terpantul"(dunno wht they call this in english... my books are in BM... hehe...) out.... but when it is hot then the air will be thinner then the sound wave will be easier to "terpantul" out...

I noticed when the air-cond is on and it's cold inside although outside is damn hot, the sound improves...

i remember my installer also told me tht when do tuning is better to do it during mid night... as the air is cooler... then you can hear more of the details... then easier to do the tunings... but dunno how true lo... never tried before... scared neighbours wake up to scold me....

Then test your system against PDRM siren, see who's more musical
