Sound Deadening front doors

Guys,

Even with 2 layers of sound deadening material (Wurth + Deadpan), i am still getting a lot of ringing and resonance sounds from my doors. Extremely irritating I must say. Any suggestions? Speaker is a K2P. Using Wurth for the outer door skin and Deadpan for the inner door skin. Should I add another layer or get some Focal Plain Chant? Car is a Nissan Sentra N16 FL2.

Errr.. I doubt that's the answer. The Wurth is pretty excellent sound deadening material in it's own right.

yes, i think Wurth is extremely good being in alot of parts made out of a Merc and many European makes ...  /53

Would it be good to remove the waterproof transparent sheeting and add another layer of sound deadening?

Saw, I told you before, you need to take the waterproof plastic away. & I hope u r not using the OE plastic speaker ring mount.

bro saw, i my own experience, i have taken out the plastic sheet very long time ago ...

my own door has 4 layers of deadening, one on the inner door panel, 2 on the outter panel, one on the door cover panel ...

i cant go for the 5th layering already because its too thick ... i use a combination bintumen sheets, dynamat extreme and a sticky sponge bob material like insuflex...

best is to try your best to locate which item is vibrating, usually door lock mechanism or power window mechanism stuff, just need to stop it from hitting metal, last time my problem was the plastic door lock hitting the plastic panel, added some double sided tape to solve it.

I agree with Zenn. My car last time is not the outer or inner metal that caused the vibration. It is the plastic cover and the hand rest. Have to locate the place that caused the noise. Sometimes even the safety belt side. I put 1 layer of cheap material with white cotton inside (dunno what is it called) to stop it from touching the inner matel and it helps kill almost all of the noise.

Also you can try using a deflex mat. It can help at times.

Besides that, careful about your door hinges when putting too much deadening.
