BTW.. read over in Talk Audio Forum that Focal will be launching a "cheaper" Utopia BE series without the crossblock and utilizing a similar spec crossover like the K2Ps. Anything? Focal's web page doesn't say anything to-date.

I am aware you can buy UtopiaBE no5,6,7 speaker drivers without the control block.

As for cheaper passive Xover, never heard of. Let me dig more information, will update yourself.
