i think you have to refer to the frequency response ability of your driver also before you set them beyond the limit & blow them.

I mean especially the tweeter

Read your speaker driver manual.

Start setting the frequency from there. Progress from there is the safest bet.

in general:

3 way active system (6.5" mids): sub (<60) mids (50-2500) tweets (>2500)

4 way active (6.5 midbass, 4" midrange): sub (<60) midbs (50-250) midrg (250-5000) twt (>5000), of coz both midrange tweeter highpass is very driver dependant, cant go too low..

6.6inch driver will start to beam at 2.5kHz to 3+kHz, the smaller driver could go higher frequency before start to beam... but this is only in general. pls take a look at the frequency charts to know when the frequency will start to drop

btw...up to this day...i'm still confused about on axis and off axis term...lets get this straight for once...at least for me...

lets say when tweeter placed at A pillar and both tweeter directly facing each other... called on or off axis?

then when say 30deg, means when the tweets facing each other... it's 0deg? then 30deg means 30deg angle towards listener from 0deg?

easy...if something is facing u directly, that is on axis or 0 degrees.  for tweets in a pillars facing each other, that is 90 degree off axis.  so when its 30 deg. its just slightly facing away from u.  the axis is between u and the object, not object to object.

but lets say...tweeter on passenger side aiming directly at driver... that is 0deg... on axis lor...
so for that passenger tweeter...if we aim it towards the driver side tweeter directly...it's not really 90deg ma right?

but as a general reference, we just say 90deg off axis la right?
