It is used to distribute power to 2 amps or more. If you only have 1 amp, you do not need 1.

Dun buy still got options.
1) Run 2 separate power cables to each amp. This is actually better than using distro but more expensive.
2) Run 1 line then split to 2 by means of 'tie-ing' all 3 cables together. Highly not recommended because if it shorts anything, anything could blow including car ecu. Not to mention, worse case senario........ fire in your car.

Cheap distro should be around rm30 (i'm guessing)
Decent distro can get for less than rm100. Like Stinger, Audison, RF..........

Ulti setup:
Independant 4ga to each amp or
One run of 0ga-distro-4ga-each amp

Just go get 1 la. Fuse not necessary.

BTW what gauge cable you planning to use and on what amp?

If within your budget, I suggest you go for 4ga minimum because you wont need to upgrade this next time if you go for high powered amp.
It is known that some amps require 4ga minimum.

Thanks for the info bro. I'll go get one with 1 input and 2 output for my 2 amps. The amps will be PHD 4075 and Orion XTR9002  /77. Is not using the fused distribution block better cos can protect amp?  Ok, i'll just tell my installer to use 4ga to the amps. Btw, how much is the 4ga?

After battery ady got fuse. Amps got fuse. So no need to add some more fuse at the distro block.

Bro I thought fuse needed to protect the wire from burning.....cos 0 awg carry more current than 4 awg....so u need inline fuse to protect the smaller cables from burning...

krayden: the fuse is not for the amp, its for the power cables from terbakar

mypasso: distribution block can get anywhere... i dun really fancy any particular brand as they serve the same purpose. i recently got another distribution block (1 in 4 out) for around rm 30-40... fancy dist. block with voltage reader should be around 60-70 region. As for power cables, cheapest will be in kg bengali

Haha never heard of cables burning. actually, considering we're using car battery here, any decent 4ga should be able to handle the load and heat would be within the limits.

Dudes... first and foremost, invest a good quality 'tested' power cables (with proper jackets i.e. i've seen some pasar road ones with really crappy low-quality jacket/insulation) and you can do without a fused-distribution block.

Even world champion Scott Buwalda does not use fused-distribution blocks.

If your amp does not have a fuse, then it would be useful to use one.
