ICE SQ setup - to the next level
« on: September 14, 2009, 05:32:45 AM »
Hi to All Sifus,

Currently I'm running basic ICE system which HU and Component Speaker (Tweeter & Mid Bass). I've already have Sub but not connected yet to the current system. I've a good start up base on reading most of previous post in this forum.

-------
Currently I've have :-

HU          : Eclipse CD5435 (not so high-end but sufficient quality on SQ)
Comp-set : DLS Reference R6A
--------

Now I'm thinking on getting 4 channel amp to run my component first.

My question :
Base on my current set-up which is more suitable Amp between STEG AQ 75.4 and Hifonics Taurus both is used Amp and my budget is below RM650.00 at the moment.

.....and later get another 2 channel amp and run my un-used Sub, when i got new budget.

or

Use 4 channel amp : 2 channel to power comp-set and another 2 channel bridge to power Sub.

or

Straight away get 5 channel Amp (used - Ultimate 5ch amp T3-5600) from this forum. Which run 4 channel front for comp-set and 1 channel for sub without need to wait another few months.

-------

BTW I'm listening to various genre of music on my current.

--------

Hope I can get infos from all Sifus on this matter.

Thanks

Suggest you go for 4ch setup. Will save more on cabling, space and better resale value. But a 2ch + monoblock will sound slightly better. The 5ch amp you mentioned, 100W for sub is just not enough.
