QED Classic 79 Speaker Wires
« on: November 02, 2006, 10:36:33 PM »
Anyone sample this before? Window shop at CMY today for my home hifi plan, found they sell this speaker wires.
Price at about 12 bucks per m. It should be the cheapest QED speaker wires they have.

Let me know your thoughts ?  /78

Don't waste your time. I use the Strand 79 since 1997 for my home theatre surround speakers (over 100ft). It was made in UK then, now Taiwan.

Netken,

The basic Naim Interconnect is made by Chord and is the same as the Chord Chrysalis. The higher end interconnect is the Hi-Line but at 500GBP for something bout half the length required for a car interconnect it's erm not cheap. Naim doesn't use a RCA or Phono connection but DIN so their interconnects are rather useless for ICE . Here's how the Hi-Line and a DIN connection looks like

I am actually rather fond of QED 79 Strands. It's the first ever audiophile cable of the 70's. I used to have them in my starter system in the 80's. That time I remembered it cost 1.51 pounds in the U.K. per meter.
