« on: September 17, 2008, 04:34:11 PM »
My dynaudio MW160, the foam plug (sponge) in the bore vent, is damaged by my friend itchy finger,
according to one audio technician, he said the defective of the foam plug will reduce the speaker performance significantly..
Is it true ? If yes, any remedial work proposed ?

Yes it is true. The sponge has to be there to control excess of air movement/bass from the port. In fact, we can replace it with a better acoustic sponge for better results. If you wish to get yours changed (for both drivers), you can call Audio Creations or call me at 012-3315669. How much? 50 bucks.
