Partial Sound Dampening, OK or don't even bother?
« on: February 19, 2008, 03:52:31 PM »
i wish to DIY sound dampening (SD) my kelisa, but i don't want/don't know to remove car seats and all, so i can't cover my whole cabin with the SD mats, only area that is reachable without removing anything and doors will be covered. can i feel the result?
btw, on tight budget, which area is more worthy to invest on first?
my car has a woofer in trunk and component set in front, i removed the trunk panel that hold the back speakers.

floor area i plan to put the mats:

blue stripes area = sound dampening mat

found a good website about sound deadening http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/

If you only want to do that, then don't bother!

If on a tight budget, most important is to do your 2 front doors and boot first!

If that also your budget cannot do, then save up a little longer!

Believe me, it's no fun peeling damping material later, when you wanna do a proper job!
