Currently running a Steg QMosII 105.4x 4 channel to power my Focal K2P separates and Focal 27KX sub. Just purchased a Steg KCompetition series K2.02 2 channel amp to power my sub. Originally was gonna bridge the 105.4 to drive my K2Ps but now itching to upgrade that as well to another K2.02 or K2.03. K2.02 supplies 155W max RMS into 4 ohms while the K2.03 is 245W. 105.4 produces 180W max when bridged into 2 channels. Your thoughts?

Bro,

Knowing you, pickup K2.03. When I test it with yours K2P, they sound a lot more dynamic compares to the K2.02. You can run a simple test, swap the QMOS105.4 out. Pull the cables to drive your K2P.

But before you decide on the K2.02 or 2.03, let me find out how much those Focal amp might be.

Can let you cuba-try a TRU Technology Billet B-2110 150w x 2 @ 4ohms. Either that or you can visit KF Audio, KK Lau or Auto Gadget to arrange for an audition.

If you're wondering the amp has enough power for the Focals, we've ran it with 3-way Dyns with plenty of success.

The K series K2.03 did very well in recent German AutoHiFi review scoring 71 marks overall which is higher than the Helix Competition A2.

No idea. The Dual Monitor costs more than 2000 Euros (RM10K) so it's out of my budget currently for a car setup.

Could try search amp at Kcan (Alor setar) or meng's (Butterworth) ; They got Zapco, but their price a bit pricey.

your steg amp not that popular in here

not really ....

my 2nd setup was with 3 steg Qmos amps ... 75.4, 90.2 and 120.2 .. sorri if i got the models wrong, its been some time already ...

was pairing it with 3 way MBQ ... very dynamic and powderful midbass ..

anything above the Qmos model should be good especially the older K2 which i believe only comes in 2 channel versions...

105.4x i feel is one of the best value for buck ... powerful and adequate for a decent setup .. what design issit? the ones that i have before are the ones in kinda dark blue heatsinks ... O0

Do you believe it aa.. Frend I'm not laa coz when they do comparison, this always happen.. Using same driver/component, cable & etc.. as we know this 2 brand come wtih diff characteristic.. let say using Focal speaker, I'm sure Steg will get higher point/mark.. how about if Scanspeak/Rs Audio/Dyns/D9 driver.. do U think Steg will get higher mark/point than Helix.. reading all those review is not wrong at all but using it as base totally wrong.. haa haa
