if the Boston and MTX comes along with the out board passives and are component set... you can either use them to run passive setup or NOT use them to run active setup...

while on the amp... you can bypass the xover...

all you have to use is the 701 xover... tht is sufficient...

hope this helps...

cheers...

Oh now it is clearer...you have 4 amps !

If it was me, I would :

1. Run everything thru 701. Control everything thru 701. Set the crossover at the amps there to bypass/fullrange
2. Use the 4 channel PG amp to run the front 6" and tweeter active (keep the passive crossover at home)
3. Use the LRx to run the center channel
4. rear (with passive xover) and sub no change

oh so its a 5.1 system, and judging by the equipment u have, u can run full active.  no need to use the passive crossover for the front components.

amps:
audison lrx 2.4 (130W x 2)
CD200A im guessing its Clif Designs 80W x 2
coustic sub amp
pg R 8.0:4 (75W x 4)

what i suggest is from pxa:
front 1 - 2ch of the PG amp for Boston tweeters
front 2 - audison 2ch for boston mids
rear - Cd amp for mtx rears
sub - coustic amp for mtx sub
center - one of the remaining 2ch of the PG amp for the alpine center

all amp filters should be off, or full (if cant off)

Sifu2 sekian.......javascript:void(0);

Thanks for the recommendations and suggestions which I will applied. 2moro will be the d-day, will rip the system up and reconfigure it once again.....

Thanks also to Louisl for giving info that there is a reputable installer here, have met him last Friday and Sunday will rip up the system.

I do know that passive and active are not meant for each other, javascript:void(0);
58 not even marriage made in heaven neither marriage out of coincidence... but the place where I get the TXC6.1 insisted on it and I played along, thinking it's a new thing... unfortunately CURIOSITY KILLS THE CAT AND THE SOUND SYSTEM.  javascript:void(0);

Besides, the tweet is too pitchy... even though the xo setting is HPfc 1k, HP slope at 18... (must be the mtx, will be replace with the r2904/700k 2moro)

will update the outcome

Fuiyoh.....scans 700000. Very soon, you need to upgrade your HU, your processor, your amp, your RCA/wires, your power caps, your power cables, your alternator, your battery, your soundproof, even your car ! And that means money. With scanspeak 700000, I budget that you need at least RM20k-RM30k in the not too distant future to overhaul your system to satisfy your ears. If not, your other equipment is not matching. Dont worry, there are many people around you to "help" you spend the money and make you feel it is well worth it. You would even thank them ! hahahahaha. Some of them are just enthusiast, some are businessmen.

Whoever told you passive and active do not meant for each other does not really know the whole picture. Your better seek second opinion

Sometimes I feel very guilty to join the ice forums........
