But I think Silver also dissipate heat faster (create a lot of loss); and according to the article it is no good for inductor to gain the electrical energy but then converted to Heat energy and loss; The intended electrical energy intended not going to the loud speaker.

This my 2 cents only; still learning

let me send a email to goertzaudio to ask them... but i believe this is enuf.

"pure silver conductors are highly valued by many audio enthusiasts due to their superior ability
to reproduce voices and instruments in their timbres in an extremely differentiated and neutral
manner, and - if possible - are preferable to copper conductors."

you guys be the judge...

i asked :
Dear Sirs,
Since there are both copper and silver air core inductors made by Goertz Audio,
could you please explain what are differences between the two and which one
will be better for passive crossovers. Thank you.

the reply :
We no longer manufacture our coils in solid silver. The silver would offer more
detail over the copper version, but we no longer have them in stock. Please
visit our webstore www.goertzaudio.com, if you are interested in placing an
order with us.

Best regards,
Dawn

i love this reply from one of the online audio retailers when asked about the availablity of Alpha - Core Silver Coils :

"We have never stocked silver foil inductors due to the extremely high cost and consequently the almost nonexistent demand."
